Michaela Brueggen serves as the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance for Indiana University Athletics and is the primary compliance contact for women’s basketball, volleyball, softball, wrestling, track and field, and cross country. She joined the Hoosiers in the fall of 2021 as the Assistant Director of Compliance for Monitoring, overseeing all aspects of NCAA Bylaws 11, 13, and 17.
Prior to IU, Brueggen gained experience in the compliance office at the University of Nebraska, where she worked as a graduate assistant while earning her master’s degree in Business with a specialization in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration. A 2018 graduate of the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and has served on the university’s Sport Management Advisory Board since 2022.
A proud “Cheesehead,” Brueggen is a native of Arcadia, Wisconsin, and a Green Bay Packers “owner”. She currently resides in Bloomington.
