Michaela Brueggen joined the Hoosiers in the Fall of 2021 as the Assistant Director of Compliance for Monitoring. Now the Associate Director, Brueggen oversees personnel, recruiting, and playing and practice seasons and serves as a liaison to Wrestling, Softball, Cross Country, and Track and Field. Prior to IU, Brueggen worked in the Compliance Office at Nebraska as a Graduate Assistant.
A native of Arcadia, Wisconsin, Brueggen received her bachelor’s degree (Sport Management, 2018) from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and her Master’s in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from the University of Nebraska in 2021. She has served on the Inaugural Sport Management Advisory Board at UW-La Crosse since 2022. A true “Cheese-head,” she is a Green Bay Packers “owner” and is an avid rec sports player. Brueggen resides in Bloomington.

What’s your favorite IU memory? When Men’s Basketball beat Purdue in 2023 in Assembly Hall, it was the best crowd environment I have ever witnessed in sports.
