Jeremy Gray was named Assistant Athletic Director for Broadcast Services in 2009 before being promoted to a Senior Associate Athletic Director position in 2014. Prior to his career in athletic administration, Gray served as the play-by-play voice for IU women’s basketball, baseball, and as the host of the men’s basketball and football coaches’ shows on the Big Ten Network. Gray has also held broadcasting duties with the Big Ten Network, ESPN Radio, and as a play-by-play broadcaster for various sports at the University of Notre Dame.
Since working at IU, Gray has helped conceive, develop, and implement the groundbreaking Mark Cuban Center for Sports Media and Technology; shaped IU’s Big Ten Student U program into one of the conference’s most effective broadcast operations; instituted IU’s first ever brand and identity guidelines; produced a Telly award winning television show utilizing a crew consisting entirely of IU students; transformed the Department’s graphic design, video, photo, and digital and social media operations; led the national award winning ‘Lets Dig In’ ad campaign for IU football; collaborated with University partners on the CASE Award winning #IUinRio Olympics campaign; his staff have won multiple Emmy’s and national marketing awards; helped orchestrate the return of the Bison as the University’s official mascot; and worked in concert with the IU Media School to create Cream and Crimson Studios (the Department’s new live event production entity). He was named the new Public Address Announcer for IU men’s and women’s basketball teams in 2022 and co-chairs IU Athletics’ NIL Task Force. Gray serves as the sport administrator for IU’s baseball, men’s tennis, men's swimming & diving, women's swimming & diving, and volleyball programs. Gray also serves as an adjunct faculty member in IU’s Media School.
Gray lives in Bloomington with wife Abby and children Zoe and Jonah.
