
Hunter, Crist, Behnke Earn All-Conference Honors at B1G Championships

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Indiana men's cross country team finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships as the IU women placed ninth at the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course on Sunday. Rorey Hunter and Jason Crist earned First Team All-Big Ten honors as Amanda Behnke earned second team recognition.
Hunter led the Hoosier men with a fourth place individual finish in a time of 23:22.7 as Crist crossed the line in sixth overall in 23:33.7.
Other scorers for IU included Owen Skeete in 15th (23:54.7), Carl Smith in 35th (24:19.0) and Kyle DuVall in 54th (24:43.4). Indiana tallied 112 points.
The top seven individual finishers in the 8K men's race earned First Team All-Big Ten honors. Hunter and Crist both ran for first team honors for the second time in each of their careers as they both earned the honor in 2013 when IU won the Big Ten title.
Behnke was the first IU women's runner to cross the line in the 6K run in a time of 20:26.2. Her 13th-place finish was the highest individual finish in a Big Ten Championships race in her career and her first Second Team All-Big Ten honor.
Indiana's Chanli Mundy placed 45th overall in 21:15.8 as Corinne Cominator came in right behind her, clocking in at 21:16.0. Brianna Johnson placed 59th (21:35.8) and Haley Harris was 61st (21:38.9).
The Hoosiers will next host the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington at the IU Championship Cross Country Course on Nov. 6 at 3:20 p.m. ET for runners not competing at NCAA Regionals.
