• Indiana earned its fourth straight Old Oaken Bucket victory, tied for the longest streak in program history (1944-47).
• IU won the Old Oaken Bucket and the Old Brass Spittoon in the same year for the fifth time (1967, 1991, 1993, 2001, 2016).
• The Hoosiers finished the regular season 6-6 and 4-5 in the Big Ten East. It is the 11th time in school history Indiana has recorded back-to-back years with six-or-more wins and the first time since 1993-94.
• It is the 16th time IU has reached four Big Ten victories and the first time since 2001 (4-4). The four conference wins are tied for the eighth-most in program history.
• The Hoosiers last appeared in consecutive bowl games in 1990 and 1991, and have done so on three occasions (1986-87, 1987-88, 1990-91). Indiana's 2015 New Era Pinstripe Bowl appearance marked the school's 10th bowl game.
• Over the last six games, IU has collected 19 sacks and 63 tackles for loss.
• Indiana's defense recorded three takeaways, marking its third game accomplishing that feat this season (at FIU, vs. Ball State).
• The Hoosiers have scored 49 points off 19 takeaways this season.
• Sophomore safety Jonathan Crawford accounted for all three of the Hoosiers takeaways, as he picked off two passes and recovered a fumble. Crawford is the first Big Ten player and just the eighth FBS player with three takeaways in a game this year.
• It is the second multi-INT game of Crawford's career (vs. Western Kentucky, 9/19/15). Crawford has a team-leading three interceptions in 2016 and a team-best seven in his career. He has a team-leading three fumble recoveries this season and three in his career.
• Marcus Oliver's forced fumble in the third quarter was the 12th of his career, which extended his school record. Oliver is the active NCAA leader in forced fumbles.
• The redshirt junior's four tackles for loss marked his fourth-multi TFL game on the season and the sixth of his career. They rank tie for fifth in a single game in IU history. Oliver added 10 stops, eight solo, for his second double-digit tackle game this year and the eighth of his career.
• Tegray Scales recorded four TFLs on the game, moving his 2016 total to 20.5, which ranks third all-time for a single season in school history. The junior now has eight multi-TFL games in his career. His four tackles for loss rank tied for fifth in a single game in IU history. Scales finished with eight total tackles, all solo.
• Redshirt juniors Patrick Dougherty and Rashard Fant combined for a sack in the third quarter. The sack gave Dougherty three for the season and for his career, while the half-sack was the first in the career for Fant.
• Fant also recorded his 47th career pass breakup, which moves him into first on the FBS career active list.
• Junior defensive lineman Greg Gooch's sack in the second quarter was his first this season and the second of his career.
• Devine Redding went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the second consecutive season, as the junior finished with 99 yards on 24 carries.
• Redding is the fourth Hoosier (5th time) with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and the first since Vaughn Dunbar (1990-91). Courtney Snyder (1974-75) and Anthony Thompson (1987-88, 1988-89) round out the quartet.
• It is the 18th 1,000-yard rushing campaign in school history and the fourth in three years (Tevin Coleman – 2014, Jordan Howard – 2015, Devine Redding – 2015-16).
• Redding moves into 12th place on Indiana's career rushing list with 2,180 yards. His 491 career rushes move him into seventh on the all-time IU list.
• Zander Diamont's rushing touchdown in the first quarter was his fourth rushing score of the season and the ninth of his career. He was second on the team with 42 rushing yards.
• Fifth-year senior Mitchell Paige caught his third of touchdown of the season, a 27-yarder, in the first quarter - the ninth of his career.
• Sophomore wide receiver Nick Westbrook recorded one catch for 44 yards moving him into ninth place all-time on the single-season receiving yardage list with 915. It marked the seventh reception of 40-or-more yards for Westbrook this year.
• Redshirt junior Richard Lagow was 11-for-19 for 117 yards and one touchdown. Lagow's 18 passing touchdowns rank sixth in a single season, while his 3,039 yards of total offense rank sixth all-time in a single season.
• Redshirt junior kicker Griffin Oakes moved into a tie for sixth place on IU's single season list with 15 field goals made. With his eight points scored today, Oakes is now tied for fourth all-time with 261 career points.
• Redshirt junior defensive lineman Nate Hoff's blocked kick was the first of his career and was the fifth blocked kick this year for IU. The Hoosiers have blocked three punts, a field goal and an extra point.
• Redshirt freshman Simon Stepaniak made the first start of his career at right guard.
• Indiana received the ball first for the second time this season after Purdue won the coin toss.
• Fifth-year senior Dan Feeney (8th time in 2016), fifth-year senior Ricky Jones (8th time), fifth-year senior Mitchell Paige (5th time) and redshirt junior Marcus Oliver (12th time) served as today's game captains.
