LAST TIME OUT
The Hoosiers opened Big Ten play last week against Northwestern and Illinois. IU dropped a 1-0 decision to the Wildcats, with Northwestern scoring on a rebound from a penalty kick in the 13th minute. On Sunday, the Hoosiers' lone shot on goal was the game-winner as redshirt sophomore Mykayla Brown scored two minutes into the first overtime period to give Indiana a 1-0 victory at Illinois.
WHAT WOULD L'HOMMEDIEU?
Freshman goalkeeper Sarah L'Hommedieu picked up nine more saves over the weekend, including five in the shutout of the Illini. The Hudson, Ohio native has now tallied three shutouts on the season. L'Hommedieu has 47 saves on the year, good for second in the Big Ten and sixth in the country amongst freshmen (44th overall).
BROWN COMES UP BIG AGAIN
Brown's game-winning goal against Illinois on Sunday was her third game-winner of the season, tied for 13th in the nation and second in the Big Ten. The Indianapolis native has netted four goals this year, leading the Hoosier offense. Dating back to a two-goal outing in Indiana's 3-2 win against JMU on Sept. 11, Brown has netted three goals in the last three games. Of her 10 total shots this year, five have been on goal.

The Hoosiers have scored 11 goals this season from seven different players. Brown leads the way with four goals while Dreher has two. Cassidy Blacha, Veronica Ellis, Annelie Leitner, Maya Piper and Kayla Smith have each found the back of the net once this season. Indiana's 11 goals and eight assists has the Hoosiers with 30 points through 10 games, besting the total mark of 28 from all 19 games last season.
FRESHMEN MAKING AN IMPACT
IU has seen an immediate impact from its 11-member freshmen class with four getting the start on Sunday at Illinois in L'Hommedieu, Julia De Angelis, Allison Jorden and Meghan Scott. Macy Miller, a native of Carmel, Ind. leads the team in shots with 14 and shots on goal with seven. Scott, a native of Ontario, Canada, leads the Hoosiers in assists with two.

Big Ten play sees Indiana face off against five NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago, including National Champion Penn State and Women's College Cup semifinalist Rutgers.
NEW FACES
The 2016 roster sees the addition of 12 new faces, including 11 true freshmen. Redshirt freshman Haleigh Guerra is also suiting up for the Hoosiers after transferring from Texas. Senior Veronica Ellis entered season as the active leader in goals scored, while junior Kayla Smith is the active assists leader. Both Ellis and Smith, along with Borschke, were named to the Big Ten Preseason Honors list this week.
On the other side, Borschke and the Indiana defense will look to continue success from last season, which was highlighted by a scoreless streak of 463 minutes, the second longest in program history. Goalkeepers on the 2016 roster include redshirt freshman Bristal Hadley-Mautino and freshman Sarah L'Hommedieu.
