
No. 1 Hoosiers Host No. 18 Michigan on Wednesday Night

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 1-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team will host the No. 18 Michigan Wolverines on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
Kickoff in Bloomington, Ind. is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, with the match broadcast nationally on the Big Ten Network. Live stats for the match can be found at IUHoosiers.com, while a live stream is available at BTN2GO.com.
SETTING THE SCENE
• The No. 1-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team will host the No. 18 Michigan Wolverines on Wednesday night at Armstrong Stadium.
• The Hoosiers enter Friday's contest with a 4-0-1 record on the season overall and a 0-0-1 mark in Big Ten play after playing No. 2-ranked Maryland to a 0-0 draw last Friday.
• Freshman goalkeeper Trey Muse has played well this season, posting four shutouts while allowing just one goal with 10 saves. The four shutouts through the first five matches is a first for IU since 2005.
SCOUTING THE WOLVERINES
• The Michigan Wolverines enter Wednesday's match with the Hoosiers with an overall record of 4-0-1 on the season and a 1-0-0 mark in Big Ten play after defeating Wisconsin, 2-1, in Ann Arbor last Friday.
• The Wolverines are ranked No. 18 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, No. 19 by Top Drawer Soccer and No. 23 by Soccer America.
• Michigan's other wins on the season all came at home against William & Mary, Cleveland State and Dartmouth. The Wolverines tied Valparaiso, 1-1. Sunday's match will be Michigan's first road game of the year.
• In a preseason poll conducted of the league's coaches, the Wolverines were picked to finish fifth in the league. Francis Atuahene, Marcello Borges and Jack Hallahan were all named to the Big Ten Preseason Honors List.
• Michigan has already matches it's win total from 2016 both overall and in conference play. The Wolverines finished last season 4-11-4 overall and 1-6-1 in Big Ten action.

• Indiana leads the overall series over Michigan, 19-3-1, including a 7-2-1 record at Armstrong Stadium against the Wolverines.
• The Hoosiers have won four-straight over Michigan, including a 2-0 win in Ann Arbor last season.

• Entering Wednesday, IU is ranked in the top-20 in seven categories in the NCAA statistical rankings.
• Indiana is ranked fourth in team goals against average (0.19), fourth in shutout percentage (0.80), sixth in corner kicks per game (8.20), eighth in save percentage (0.917), 12th in win-loss-tied percentage (.900), 17th in total goals (11) and 19th in scoring offense (2.20).
• IU leads the Big Ten in corner kicks per game, pointer per game (5.60), scoring offense, shots on goal per game (6.40), shutout percentage, team goals against average, total goals and total points (28).
HOOSIERS START THE SEASON 4-0-1
• Indiana has started the season undefeated through five matches for the second-straight year and for the 14th time in program history.
• The Hoosiers are looking to remain undefeated through the team's first six matches for the 12th time in school history.
• IU's 4-0 start was the first for the team since 2004 and marked the seventh time in program history IU accomplished the feat.
LILLARD NAMED NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
• Grant Lillard was named National Player of the Week by Top Drawer Soccer on Sept. 12.
• The senior center back helped IU tie No. 2 Maryland in College Park on Sept. 8, not allowing the Terps a single shot on goal.
