• Indiana (26-6, 6-2) enters midweek action, as it takes on Notre Dame on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET) at Victory Field, followed by a home contest with Ball State on Wednesday (6:05 p.m.).
• Tuesday will be the 99th ever meeting between IU and Notre Dame. The two squads last met in 2016 at Victory Field, with the Irish earning the win, while the Hoosiers defeated Notre Dame in 2015.
• Notre Dame leads the all-time series between the two schools, 65-32-1.
• Indiana Head Coach Chris Lemonis is in his fourth season leading the Hoosier baseball program and his 24th overall year in coaching. He has posted a 127-78-2 record and has led the program to two regional at-large bids in his first three full seasons.
• Notre Dame head coach Mik Aoki is in his eighth season at the helm of the Fighting Irish baseball program. He carries a 201-195-1 record as head coach of the Irish, and is 411-458-2. During his coaching career, he has had 50 players who have gone on to get drafted.
• The Hoosiers are ranked in all six polls. IU is ranked 8th by D1Baseball, 10th by Perfect Game and in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, 12th by Baseball America, and 17th by Collegiate Baseball.
• During IU's six game winning streak, it is hitting .378 as a team and averaging 11.2 runs per game.
• The Hoosiers are 17-2 in their last 19 games and have not lost more than two games in a row so far this season.
• Indiana joins Arkansas as the only teams to rank in the top 20 in both ERA and batting average.
• The IU pitching staff is first in the Big Ten in ERA (2.34, 2nd nationally), walks per nine innings (2.96, 12th), WHIP (1.22, 16th), and strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.62, 35th), is tied for first in shutouts (5, T-11th), and is third in hits allowed per nine innings (8.07).
• Offensively, Indiana is first in the in Big Ten in slugging percentage (.480, 12th nationally), tied for first in home runs (37, T-26th), is second in batting average (.302, 20th), on base percentage (.400, 22nd), and doubles per game (2.2, 25th), tied for second in sac flies (19, T-28th), and is third in runs per game (7.0, 33rd).
• The 26-6 start for IU marks the third time since 1999 that the Hoosiers have won 26 of their first 32 games (2013, 1999). A win on Tuesday would give Indiana its best 33-game start since 1987, when that team started 27-6.
