
Williams and Kuhn Punch Tickets for Eugene, Session Advances to Quarterfinals

TAMPA, Fla. – The Hoosiers ended day two of the NCAA East Preliminaries with two athletes headed to Eugene, Ore. for the NCAA Championships, one athlete advancing to the quarterfinals in Tampa, Fla. and one athlete had a lifetime best performance.
Sophomore Cooper Williams punched his ticket for the NCAA Championships after automatically advancing due to his third please finish in the second heat (1:48.09). All-American Daniel Kuhn was one-of-three athletes to advance to the Championships based off of time. Kuhn crossed the finish line at 1:48.26.
In the hurdles sophomore William Session automatically advanced to the 110m hurdle quarterfinals after he won the fourth heat with the time of 13.62. Session will run on Saturday at 1:35 pm ET. On the women's side freshman Zykeria William set a new personal record 13.37 in the 100m hurdles.
The third and final day of the NCAA East Preliminaries will kick off at 8:45 am ET for the Hoosiers with junior Nycia Ford in the hammer throw. The first track event will be the men's 1500m at 1:00 pm ET featuring Joe Murphy.
