HOOSIERS DEFEAT MISSOURI
Bloomington, Ind., The Indiana University wrestling team (2-0) defeated the Missouri Tigers in a dual meet today at University Gym. The Hoosiers got technical falls from Greg Schaefer and Gabe Cook to beat the Tigers 24-15.
Coach Duane Goldman said he was pleased with his team's performance, especially since his line-up had been changed so many times this week. "Our guys wrestled really well," he said. "We had five starters out today. That's the basketball team playing without (A.J) Guyton, (Luke) Recker, and (William) Gladness."
Goldman said the wrestlers who filled in were extremely important in the win today. "(Gabe) Cook and (Matthew) Nischwitz did a nice job of coming in and Jack Wade had a big win for us," he said. "We really threw our line-up together and I was pleased."
