#23 HOOSIERS FALL TO #3 MINNESOTA
Minneapolis, MN - The Indiana wrestling team was shutout by 3rd ranked Minnesota (13-1, 4-0) 38-0 in Minneapolis, Minnesota today.
The Hoosiers (10-5, 0-3 Big Ten) were unable to score a point against Minnesota, who has wrestler's ranked in the top 15 in each weight class.
Indiana did have a few close matches in the 174, 197, and 125 weight classes. At 174, Mingo Morrision lost in a 6-4 decision to #15 Delaney Berger. At 197, #11 Viktor Sveda lost to #10 Owen Elzen by a 8-6 decision. At 125, #5 Pat Cassidy fell to #3 Leroy Vega by a 4-2 decision.
The Hoosiers will continue its season next weekend when they host conference rivals Penn State on February 4 at 7 p.m. and Ohio State on February 5 at 1 p.m.
