HOOSIERS TRAVEL TO SOUTH BEND
Meet Data
The rowing Hoosiers will be traveling to South Bend, Ind. on
Saturday March 25. They will be competing against Michigan State,
Notre Dame and the University of Louisville.
Meet Results
Meet results will be made available on the web at www.athletics.indiana.edu
following the event. They can be viewed and printed out by choosing
women's crew from the main menu. Weekly updates and season best
lists can be obtained at www.athletics.indiana.edu all season
long.
The Coaches
Coach Mark Wilson coaches the team. He formerly coached the
team at club status.
"This will be one of our most challenging races. Our goal
is to row well and to finish respectively."
Last Competition
On March 19, Indiana hosted the Sour Sprints Regatta at Lake
Lemon. Indiana placed first, second and third in the Varsity
Eight competition. Members of the winning Varsity Eight boat
were Claire Shepley, Rachel Johnson, Beth Lund, DawnReiss, Caitlin
Skinner, Angie Langreck, Kate Ridge, Katy Ostertag and coxswain
Mary Hubbard. Members of the second place Novice Eight boat
were Casey Chiles, Danielle Bird, Mary Spanburg, Meg Gallagher,
Katie Fitzgerald, Lauren Reiner, Kristen Wooley, and Emily Coblentz.
Members of the third place Second Novice Eight boat were Erin
Koers, Eliza Peoples, Stephanie Mast, Emily Rumschlag, Elise
LeBlanc, Kelly Krise, Molly Fetzer, Jessica Tapola, and coxswain
Becky England.
In the Varsity Four race, the Hoosiers placed first and second.
In the winning boat was team members Joanna McCallister, Erin
Punter, Alyce Elsener and coxswain Kat Campbell. Members of
the second place Novice Four boat were Nicci Spalding, Amy Roble,
Suzanne Wade, Gosia Czech and coxswain Carmen Blissit.
Next Meet
Indiana will be traveling again to the University of Dayton on
April 1.
