CREW COMPETES AT LEXUS CENTRAL SPRINTS
Meet Data
The rowing Hoosiers will be traveling to Oak Ridge, Tenn. to
compete in the Lexus Central Sprints on Saturday May 13th - Sunday
May 14th. This meet wil serve as the Central Region Qualifier.
Participants will represent teams from the Big 12, Big 10,
SEC and the ACC.
Meet Results
Meet results will be made available on the web at www.athletics.indiana.edu
following the event. They can be viewed and printed out by choosing
women's crew from the main menu. Weekly updates can be obtained
at www.athletics.indiana.edu all season long.
The Coaches
Coach Mark Wilson:
"The team is looking forward to this weekend. I think we
have the opportunity to do very well in both events. Both of
the boats we have entered are comprised of our best athletes.
We have put together some fast line-ups and everyone is ready
to show the rest of the region what Indian Rowing can do."
The Format
The weekend will consist of heats and semifinals on Saturday
with Grand and Petite Finals on Sunday. Qualifiers for the NCAA
Championship meet will be selected based on performances throughout
the seasonand and not solely based on this meet.
The Rowers
IU will have two boats racing this weekend. They are the Novice
Eight and the Varsity Four boats.

Gallagher, Margaret Clark, Katie Fitzgerald, Lauren Reiner, Erin
Koers, Eliza Peoples
Varsity Four- Caitlin Skinner, Katy Ostertag, Beth Lund,
Rachel Johnson
Coxswains- Mary Hubbard, Kat Campbell, Becky England
Last Race
Last weekend IU traveled to Madison, Wisconsin for the Big Ten
Championships. IU finished up the weekend
with a sixth place finish.
