IU Rowing Places 11th in Region Qualifier

The Indiana women's rowing team ended their season with an 11th place finish at the Lexus Central Sprints Region Qualifier this weekend. IU had two boats advance to today's Grand Finals.
Indiana's Varsity Four boat finished in fifth place in front of Ohio State with a time of 7:40.6. Clemson won the race with a time of 7:33.4. IU was one second behind fourth place and two seconds from a third place finish.
In the Novice Eight race, the Hoosiers finished in sixth place with a time of 7:12.6. Duke won the race with a time of 6:50.4. Iowa who finished third and IU were the only Big Ten teams to advance to this race.
"The team did a great job this weekend and felt really good about their races," said Head Coach Mark Wilson. "The girls are now ready for a summer of training. We had a good first year and we are happy with where we are."
