June 8, 2000 Two Hoosiers Receive Scholar-athlete Awards

The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association announced the second annual National Scholar-Athlete awards earlier this week. Indiana rowers receiving this award are Claire Shepley and Rachel Johnson.

Qualifications for this award include meeting her institution's eligibility rules, participating in at least their second year of eligibility, participating in at least 75% of the season's races in a varsity boat, and the student must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
