CSCAA Ranks Indiana 16th
With all conference championship meets completed and the NCAA Championship meet less than a week away, the College Swimming Coaches of America have ranked Indiana 16th in the nation. This is the highest rank coach Dorsey Tierney has received in her three year career at Indiana. If the Hoosiers place this high at the NCAA meet, it will be their best national finish since 1981 when they took 12th. Indiana is on pace to return to the glory days of the 1980s. Last month, they recorded their best conference finish at third since 1982, when they also placed third. In 1981, the Hoosiers won the Big Ten Championship.
The NCAA Championship runs March15-17 at Nassau County Aquatic Center in Long Island, N.Y. Preliminary races begin at 11a.m. with finals starting at 7p.m. All diving trials begin at 1p.m. Indiana hosts the zone diving qualifying meet March 9-10 at Billingsley pool.
