Hoosiers Earn National Recognition for Academics

Bloomington, Ind. - The Indiana wrestling team once again demonstrated excellence in the class as well as the on mat. The Hoosiers finished 20th on the National Wrestling Coaches Association Team GPA list for 2001-02.

The 20th place standing is the team's best finish to day, improving upon last season's 23rd place finish.

Seniors to be Greg Schaefer and Ty Matthews eached placed on the coaches associatino honorable mention list for their individual performances in the classroom. Both wrestlers were also Academic All-Big Ten selections in 2001-02.
