Four Wrestlers In Nation's Top 15

Bloomington, Ind. - Despite three wins on the weekend, Indiana University dropped from the national team rankings after a tough, final match loss to Cleveland State at the Wendy's Duals on Sun., Jan. 12.
Ranked 23rd heading into the duals, the Hoosiers dropped a tough heavyweight bout and the match. With three Hoosiers undefeated at their respective weights and another with just one dual meet loss, the Hoosiers are a tough team to contend with.
Freshman Joe Dubuque currently boasts a No. 13 ranking by both InterMat and WrestlingReport.com's Leglace Rankings. Despite defeating Amateur Wrestling News' current No. 16 and No. 17 wrestlers, Dubuque is not ranked by the ranking outlet. Dubuque is currently 11-0 for the dual meet season.

Despite defeating Cleveland State's current No. 4 - by all polling outlets - Gerald Harris on Sun., Jan. 12, Matthews is unranked by both Amateur Wrestling News and The Wrestling Mall.
Sophomore Pat DeGain is currently ranked as high as sixth at 197 pounds - and as low as 11th. InterMat has DeGain ranked sixth while WrestlingReport.com and The Wrestling Mall place him at seventh in the nation. Amateur Wrestling News ranked DeGain 11th as of Jan. 14, 2003. DeGain is currently 10-1 on the year in dual meets.
At 133 pounds, Greg Schaefer broke into this week's WrestlingReport.com poll at 27th.
The Hoosiers travel to Charleston, Ill. to face Eastern Illinois on Friday, Jan. 17 and return home Saturday, Jan. 18 to host Eastern Michigan, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville and Missouri Valley, beginning at noon.
