I would be a swimmer because I love water more than anything else I can think of."
What is your favorite website?
"www.abercrombie.com because they show a bunch of models trying to row...unsuccessfully...being a rower, I think that it is really funny."
Why did you choose to attend Indiana? What other schools did you consider and why did you eventually select IU?
"I chose to attend Indiana because it was the right distance from home and not everyone I knew was coming here- actually, no one I knew was. That was what first drew my attention to IU. When I came to visit I really loved the campus and the programs and I knew this was where I wanted to be. I also considered Ohio University and Miami University."
What is your own personal best achievement in rowing?
"I think my best race was at Big Tens last spring. I was in the Novice B boat, but we raced as Varsity B. Though we didn't win, we had a great race and held our own against boats with a lot more experience."
How do you deal with the early morning practices?
"Early morning practices have just become part of my life. I go to bed a lot earlier than most people. Getting up early is still hard sometimes, but when
I do sleep in, I feel like I have wasted a lot of my day. I get a lot more done when I get up early and workout."
Do you have any superstitions?
"Not really...but I have racing socks I wear for every race and I always lay everything out in order the night before a race.
What is your favorite season of the year and why?
"My favorite season is the fall because it's usually pretty good weather and I like the leaves changing...plus, it's football season."
