TAFLINGER REACHES CONSOLATION FINALS OF 400 IM AT 2003 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Auburn, Ala. - BIndiana junior Brooke Taflinger paced the Indiana contingent at the 2003 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships today as she finished sixth in the consolation finals of the 400-yard individual medley, which was good for a 14th-place finish overall. The Kokomo, Ind., product's time of 4:16.92 was more than four seconds shy of her Big Ten record 4:12.43, which she set at the Big Ten Championships last month. Senior Sara Hildebrand also scored points for the Hoosiers as she finished 14th on 3-meter. Indiana's 800-yard freestyle relay team also finished 14th.Indiana's other participants finished as follows:
