Indiana Opens First CSCAA Poll Ranked 14th

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Coming off a dominating effort against the Evansville Purple Aces, Head Coach Ray Looze and Diving Coach Dr. Jeff Huber's swimming and diving squad opened up ranked 14th in the initial College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll of the season.
"We are pleased with our first ranking this season," Looze said. "It is an improvement over last year and indicates we are making progress."
The Big Ten Conference secured six of the top 25 positions with Minnesota at No. 7, Michigan at No. 9, the Hoosiers at No. 14, Northwestern at No. 15, Wisconsin at No. 16 and Purdue at No. 23.
The CSCAA dual meet poll is conducted every two weeks throughout the collegiate season and indicates the strength of the top collegiate dual meet teams and not necessarily their predicted finish at the NCAA Championships.
IU continues its season this weekend with back-to-back dual meets in the Lone Star State. On Friday, Oct. 29, Indiana tangles with No. 19 Texas A&M in College Station at 3 p.m., before battling SMU on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m., in Dallas.
