BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana will hold its first ever women's rowing walk-on clinic, announced head coach Steve Peterson.
The clinic will be held from Monday, Sept. 13 through Saturday, Sept.18, at the Indiana University's varsity boathouse.
The clinic will give undergraduate women a chance to learn how to row and erg using the varsity women's rowing equipment. Athletes who show the potential to row at the Division I level may be invited to join the Women's Varsity Rowing Team, which competes in the Big Ten Conference as well as at the NCAA level.
Introductory meetings explaining rowing to those who have never experienced it as well as clinic logistics will be held on Tuesday, September 7th or Wednesday, September 8th. Both meeting will take place at 7:00pm in the team's Erg Room at the University Gym on 10th Street and the 45/46 Bypass. Varsity rowers will be outside the Gym with oars directing interested athletes to the meeting.
The clinic will cost $5, to be paid the first day of the clinic.
