Cristy CD Release (01-21-05)

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former IU standout and 10-time All-American Jenn Cristy is set to release her debut CD, Becoming, tonight at Second Story at 9 p.m., in Bloomington, Ind.
"I am thrilled," Cristy said. "It is quite a milestone for a recording artist. You only have one CD debut. From there on, it is only a CD release. It is a really exciting time for me."
Cristy is an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician. She has written close to 200 songs in her 25 years and has entertained audiences all over North America as both a member of John Mellencamp's band and as a solo performer. Mellencamp, a strong supporter of Indiana Athletics, discovered Cristy while hearing her sing the national anthem at IU sporting events.
Doors open at 9 p.m., with music starting at 9:30 p.m. The cover is $4 and the event is limited to people over the age of 21.
