CINCINNATI, Ohio - The IU rowing team utilized its scrimmage against Cincinnati on Oct. 22 in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a valuable learning experience to continue to develop the depth and ability of the squad during the fall season.
Since the scrimmage served more as an intersquad practice, no official results were recorded.
Fortunately, assistant coach Carmen Mirochna took time out to discuss the day's impact on the team with IUHOOSIERS.com.
Assistant coach Carmen Mirochna
We had some really good pieces out there in some rough conditions. It really served well as a dry run for next weekend at the Head of the Elk in Elkhart, Ind.
We certainly learned a lot about our team. We had some good results, and found out some things that heightened our awareness to what we need to work on.
All in all, it was a good day. We look forward to coming home to Bloomington to start practice early Monday morning.
