• Senior running back Chris Taylor's one-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter was the first rushing touchdown for Indiana since Oct. 15 at Iowa. He followed that one up with a two-yard run in the fourth quarter, marking the first time in his career he has rushed for more than one touchdown in a game.
• The two touchdowns against Minnesota brought Chris Taylor's 2005 season total to four. The four rushing touchdowns set a single-season career high for Taylor. His previous season-best came in 2004 when he scored three times on the ground.
• When Chris Taylor scored on a one-yard run in the fourth quarter, it gave the Hoosiers their third rushing touchdown of the game. Taylor had scored on a six-yard burst and Blake Powers added a one -yard quarterback keeper in the second quarter. This is the first time this season IU has rushed for three scores in a contest and the first time since Sept. 6, 2004 (four rushing touchdowns against Central Michigan) that IU had three or more rushing scores in a game.
• Sophomore quarterback Blake Powers moved into fifth place on the Hoosiers' single-season attempts list following his 26-of-43 against Minnesota. He now has 333 attempts this season. He also moved into fifth place (fourth is 192) on the Hoosiers' single-season completions list with 191 during the 2005 campaign.
• Senior wide receiver Rhett Kleinschmidt equaled a career high in catches with two for nine yards in the fourth quarter. He had two catches for 14 yards on Nov. 14, 2004 against Penn State.
• Sophomore quarterback Blake Powers hit 10 different receivers during the game against Minnesota for 26 completions. It was the most receivers that Powers had hit in a single game this season. Eight different IU receivers caught passes against Kentucky (Sept. 17), Illinois (Oct. 8), Ohio State (Oct. 22) and Michigan State (Oct. 29).
• True freshman wide receiver Brandon Walker-Roby had the first multiple catch game of his Hoosier career. Walker-Roby had three catches for 24 yards.
• Junior safety Troy Grosfield matched a career-high in tackles against Minnesota with eight. He had eight tackles earlier this season against Wisconsin.
• Junior safety Will Meyers led the Hoosiers with 12 tackles against the Gophers. His 10 solo tackles were a career best. It bettered the mark of nine which he had on three different occasions.
• The win for Minnesota ended the Hoosiers' seven-game home winning streak in the series versus the Gophers. It was Minnesota's first win in Bloomington since 1985.
