Every week of the Indiana wrestling regular-season schedule, IUHOOSIERS.com will highlight the past or current performance of a Hoosier grappler. This week, IUHOOSIERS.com will spotlight freshman Matt Coughlin and his efforts to go 11-6 in his first three competitions as a Hoosier.

So far in 2005-06, freshman Matt Coughlin has posted two fifth-place finishes at both the Michigan State and Missouri Open. Overall, Coughlin has compiled an 11-6 record across three tournaments (Eastern Michigan, MSU Open, Missouri Open). At the MSU Open, Coughlin went 5-2 en route to the medal stand. The Evansville, Ind., native coupled that finish with a 4-2 mark at the Missouri Open to claim back-to-back fifth-place finishes.
On the season at 157 pounds, Coughlin has posted three falls, an injury default and seven decisions in his 11 victories.
