Bloomington, Ind. - Sophomore Josh Buuck enters this weekend's duals against Purdue and Iowa with an 19-12 overall record, including a 12-6 mark in dual action. Buuck has recorded three falls and three major decisions. The Fort Wayne, Ind., has also added a fifth and eighth-place finish at the Missouri Open and Mat Town Invitational.
On facing No. 19 Nathan Moore of Purdue
JB: "He beat me by one in the state semifinals of my senior year and kept me from my goal of winning a state championship. It was the only match I lost that year. I am looking forward to facing him again. He has been really successful this year and is one of the top wrestlers in the country, and I look forward to facing him on Friday."
On the Indiana/Purdue dual
JB: "It's a big one. This is not only a battle to get a win, but also a battle for potential recruits. There are a lot of guys who decided between Purdue and Indiana and to beat them is something special. We know that it's going to be a battle when we step onto the mat."
On Pat DeGain
JB: "He has done a lot for me in my improvement as a wrestler. He has taught me a lot. He has been through a lot and we all look at him as a leader. He always is willing to help if he sees something you are not doing right and has a willingness to offer advice as well. He's the type of wrestler who dominates on and off the mat and is a good person to look after."
