Bloomington, Ind. - This is the fourth of a five part series previewing each weight class for the upcoming Big Ten Championship on March 5-6 in Iowa City, Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
174- Junior Brady Richardson (Vincennes, Ind.)
Three-year starter Brady Richardson will be looking for a return trip to the NCAA Championship after qualifying last season. The Vincennes, Ind., native ended the regular season with a 20-5 overall record and a 6-2 Big Ten mark. He enters the championship having won 10 of his last 11 matches.
Richardson will face stiff competition as the 174-pound weight class features seven ranked wrestlers, including the 17th-ranked Richardson. Illinois Peter Friedl is ranked third, followed by fourth-ranked Jake Herbert (Northwestern). R.J. Boudro of Michigan is ranked 14th followed by 15th-ranked Nick Roy of Michigan. Nineteenth ranked Kelly Flaherty (Wisconsin) and 20th-ranked Gabriel Dretsch (Minnesota) round out the ranked wrestlers.
Richardson, who finished fifth at last season's Big Ten Championship will look to challenge Friedl and Herbert, who are considered the top wrestlers in this weight class. Richardson has proven to be one of the top 174 pounders as he has defeated Flaherty on Feb. 6 and lost a close two-point match to Herbert on Jan. 21.

184- Junior Andy Rios (Strongsville, Ohio)
Junior Andy Rios will be look for his first trip to the NCAA Championship after falling just short at last season's Big Ten Championship. The Strongsville, Ohio, native ended the year with a 23-14 overall record, including two wins in Big Ten competition. He has wrestled a team-high 12 matches against ranked opponents, including the last five against Big Ten opponents. Despite his 3-8 record against Big Ten competition, Rios could be the surprise of the championship as he as lost four Big Ten matches by a total of five points.
In a weight class that features five of the top-10 184 pounders in then nation, this class is one of the most wide-open classes in this season's Big Ten Championship. In all, there are eight ranked wrestlers. The ranked grapplers are fourth-ranked Brian Glynn of Illinois, fifth-ranked Eric Bradley of Penn State, sixth-ranked Paul Bradley of Iowa, eighth-ranked Brady Reinke of Wisconsin, and ninth-ranked Roger Kish of Minnesota.
Wrestlers ranked outside of the top-10 are 17th-ranked Ben Wissel of Purdue, 19th-ranked Mike Tamillow or Northwestern and 20th-ranked Joe Williams of Michigan State.
