Indiana Advances to No. 18 in Latest CSCAA Poll

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - A hard-fought 211-158 loss to then-and-current No. 14 Penn State at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center in Bloomington Jan. 28-29, impressed the voters as the Indiana women's swimming and diving squad advanced to No. 18 in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll released on Feb. 8.
The Big Ten Conference captured seven of the top-25 positions with Wisconsin at No. 8, Penn State at No. 14, Michigan at No. 17, the Hoosiers at No. 18, Minnesota at No. 23, and Northwestern and Purdue tied at No. 24.
The CSCAA dual-meet poll is conducted every two weeks throughout the collegiate season and indicates the strength of the top collegiate dual meet teams and not necessarily their predicted finish at the NCAA Championships.
Next up, the Cream and Crimson play host to the 2005 Big Ten Championships from Feb. 16-19 at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatics Center in Bloomington, Ind.
