Three Hoosiers Earn Last Chance

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Juniors Larra Overton and Kelly Siefker, along with sophomore Lorian Price will represent the Indiana women's track and field team at the Alex Wilson "Last Chance" Invitational, held at the Meyo Track on the campus of the University of Notre Dame on Saturday, March 5.
The meet is the last opportunity for an athlete to achieve an automatic or provisional qualifying mark to the NCAA Championship, which will be held at the University of Arkansas on March 11-12.
Below is a list of the Hoosiers attending the meet and the events they will compete in.
So./ Long Jump
Price has already earned a provisional time (8.43) in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.31 at the 2005 Big Ten Championships. She will now try to achieve a provisional (6.20m, 20-04.10) or automatic (6.40m, 21-00.00) mark in the long jump. Her career-best in the event is a leap of 6.08m (19-11.50) at this year's Meyo Classic.
Larra Overton
Jr./800-Meter Dash
Overton's personal-best time of 2:09.91 at last week's Big Ten Championship just missed the provisional standard of 2:09.40. The automatic bid in the event is 2:06.05.
Kelly Siefker
Jr./Mile
Siefker will look to better her career-best run of 4:51.17 and earn a provisional (4:47.60) or an automatic (4:39.10) time. As a sophomore, Siefker qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Mideast Regional in the 3000m steeplechase.
