IU Places 11 on CSCAA Scholar-Athlete Teams

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana swimming and diving placed 11 student-athletes onto the 2005 College Swim Coaches Association of America Scholar-Athlete teams, as announced by the CSCAA.
"It is a great honor to have 11 of our swimmers and divers honored in such a way," Indiana head coach Ray Looze said. "It illustrates the comprehensive success our teams achieved this past season."
Cassandra Cardinell, Marc Carlton, Sergiy Fesenko, Murph Halasz, Christina Loukas, Colin Russell, Lisa Silvestri and Scott Tanner earned berths on the first team, while Mike Jones, Jade Summerlin and Clarissa Wentworth picked up honorable mention honors.
To earn CSCAA status, student-athletes must earn a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and qualify for the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA championships. Student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA or above who earn NCAA B-cut times earn honorable mention status.
