IU Women's Basketball Extends Radio Coverage

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- Indiana women's basketball fans will have the opportunity to hear 14 of the Hoosiers' games on ESPN 950 during the 2005-06 season, IU Sports Properties General Manager Bob Agramonte and IU Athletics Director Rick Greenspan announced today.
"Our goal with the IU Radio network is to provide the best possible coverage for IU Sports," Agramonte said. "Being on a station like ESPN 950 in Indianapolis certainly accomplishes that and we are excited to have IU women's basketball involved."
Jeremy Gray will serve as the voice of the Hoosiers. Gray is in his fourth season as the Indiana women's basketball play-by-play announcer on the Indiana University Women's Basketball Radio Network. Gray earned the 2005 Indiana Broadcaster Association Spectrum Award, which is presented annually to the best play-by-play announcer in the state. The news and sports director at WHCC 105.1/WBWB 96.7 radio in Bloomington, Gray is on the air as co-host of the station's daily morning show.
Versyp and the Hoosiers are grateful that ESPN 950 will cover several of their games this season.

"From the first day I arrived in Bloomington, it has been a priority to get people across the state excited about Indiana women's basketball. This is a huge step in making people more aware of our program and we are thankful that ESPN 950 has made this commitment to us."
