BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Ryan Fagan garnered Big Ten Diver of the Week honors for the week ending Jan. 8, as announced by the conference office on Jan. 10.
"It is an extremely well deserved award," Indiana head diving coach Dr. Jeff Huber said. "Ryan comes into practice everyday and gives a great effort. He makes every practice, does every drill and does everything I ask of him. He has been a model senior captain for us and a great representative of Indiana Diving."
Fagan came up with a pair of top-two finishes in the 134-108 triumph over No. 20 Ohio State. The Pittsburgh, Pa., product placed second with a 301.28 in the one-meter before snaring first place with a personal-best tally of 368.18 in the three-meter. Remarkably, Fagan's effort now stands as the eighth-best tally in school history in a three-meter dual-meet format.
Next up for the Hoosiers, the No. 11 Indiana men's swimming and diving team will battle No. 4 Michigan in a Big Ten showdown on Jan. 14 at 1 p.m.
