Brackets Set for Virginia Duals

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The 26th-Annual Virginia Duals bracket is set and the Indiana wrestling team will face Virginia Tech at 9 a.m. (EST) in the first round as announced by tournament officials on Jan. 12. The Virginia Duals on Jan. 13-14 in Norfolk, Va., will feature two rounds before the championship bout on Jan. 14.
The 15th-ranked Hoosiers are the top seed at the event, followed by 25th-ranked Penn, West Virginia (RV) and Chattanooga (RV) filling the second through fourth seeds.
Notable matchups for the Hoosiers against the Huskies are top-ranked senior Joe Dubuque (8-0) facing Justin Staylor (15-7) at 125 pounds, senior Nick Spatola (7-6) facing 13th-ranked David Hoffman (17-5) at 141 pounds, sixth-ranked sophomore Brandon Becker (11-2) against David Kiley (1-7) at 157 pounds, sixth-ranked Brady Richardson (16-3) facing Matt Woods (0-2) at 197 pounds and sophomore Dave Herman (18-7) grappling 15th-ranked Mike Faust (20-6) at 285 pounds.
