Hoosiers in the Polls

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana wrestling team suffered its fourth loss of the season at the hands of No. 8 Penn State on Feb. 10, but continued to be among the nation's top 20 for the 14th straight week. The Hoosiers hold the No. 17 spot announced the USA Today / NWCA / InterMat NCAA Div I Coaches' Poll on Feb. 15. The Hoosiers stand at 11-4 on the season and 2-4 in Big Ten action. Indiana continues its conference slate as it travels to No. 13 Northwestern on Feb. 17, followed by a road trip to No. 3 Michigan on Feb. 19 to wrap-up its regular-season schedule.
Defending national champion Joe Dubuque remained at the top spot of the 125-pound division for the 14th straight week. Dubuque currently stands at 18-0 on the season and boasts a 6-0 Big Ten dual mark.
Redshirt freshman Andrae Hernandez currently boasts a 6-3 ledger against ranked opponents, and despite a loss to No. 9 Jake Strayer (PSU), he remained in the top 20 for the third week in a row at No. 19. Hernandez is 24-6 on the season and 5-1 in Big Ten action.
Sophomore Brandon Becker returned to the win column with a 2-1 defeat of No. 13 Nathan Galloway (PSU). Becker now stands at eighth in the polls and has extended his stay in the top 10 to 14 straight weeks. The Mickleton, N.J., native is 17-6 on the season and 3-3 in Big Ten competition.
Wrapping up the Hoosiers in the rankings is senior two-time NCAA qualifier Brady Richardson. Richardson currently holds the 10th-place spot in the rankings and has extended his appearance in the top 10 to 10 straight weeks.
