BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Over the 2005-06 campaign, IUHOOSIERS.com will catch up with former Indiana swimmers and divers to see where life has taken them after graduating from IU. Jennifer Watts, who swam for IU from 1998-2001, took the time to fill in IUHOOSIERS.com on her life since graduation.
What have you been doing since graduating from Indiana University?
I have been working in sales since graduating. I am currently working for TAP Pharmaceuticals as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. I was married July 10, 2004 on Lake Monroe. My husband and I now reside on the north side of Indianapolis.
What did you enjoy the most about your time as a Hoosier?
I enjoyed everything about being at IU! I made great friends, swam for a great team and got a great education!!!! I miss being a part of a team. That feeling is something that I will probably never have again.
What piece of advice would you give to any current Hoosier?
I would tell a current Hoosier to make the most of your time at IU. Experience everything! You will never have this experience again and you don't realize how much you miss it until it is no longer there.
Would you say that being a student-athlete at Indiana University has helped you get to where you are today?
Being a student-athlete definitely helped me get where I am today. I still don't realize everything I learned but I am so grateful for the support I received. I am so glad I had the opportunity to compete and get an education from a Division I school.
