Stockwell Claims 200 Breast Crown at Indiana Senior State

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - Freshman Sarah Stockwell claimed the 200-yard breaststroke title at the 2006 Indiana Senior State Championships in Crawfordsville, Ind., on March 11.
In the 500-yard freestyle, freshman Katy Sandberg took 35th place with a 5:26.31 in preliminary action.
In the 100-yard backstroke, incoming signee Alyssa Rosinko finished fourth with a 58.04. Remarkably, Rosinko recorded a 57.72 in prelims, a performance that would move her to ninth all-time in school history when she steps on campus.
In the 200-yard breaststroke, Stockwell won the title with a 2:17.23 after registering a 2:19.66 in prelims. Additionally, classmate Abbey Mitchell finished fourth with a 2:23.83 after posting a 2:21.51 in morning action. Meanwhile, incoming signee Emily Porteous placed fifth in 2:24.66.
In the 50-yard freestyle, Rosinko turned in an eighth-place 24.31 after recording a 24.29 in prelims. Additionally, Mitchell placed 24th with a 26.40 in the bonus consolation heat after clocking a personal-best time of 24.88.
In the 200-yard IM, Stockwell grabbed second place with a 2:07.01 after touching in 2:09.63 in prelims. Meanwhile, Rosinko placed sixth with a 2:09.70, while Mitchell took 12th in 2:12.68.
