Chapman Takes Fourth on Tower at U.S. Open Qualifying

INDIANAPOLIS - Senior Heather Chapman picked up fourth place in the platform competition at the 2006 Speedo U.S. Open Qualification Meet in Indianapolis on April 18.

In front of a home crowd, the Circle City native strung together a five-dive total of 258.65. Her best dive came in the third round with a 56.55 tally from a backward 2.5 somersault from a pike position.

Trojan Diving's Haley Ishimatsu claimed gold with a 348.00 effort.

Next up, divers compete in the individual one-meter competition on April 19.
