Lazaridis Invited to US Under 23 Selection Camp

BLOOMINGTON Ind. - All-American Laura Lazaridis has been invited to the U.S. Under 23 Selection Camp in Berkeley, Calif., from June 5-29. From this group of athletes, the US Under 23 National Team will be selected to race at the Under 23 National Championships this summer in Hazewinkel, Belgium from July 20-23.
"Laura has definitely earned this honor," Indiana head coach Steve Peterson said. "This is a very exciting opportunity for her and for our program. Although it is always hard to tell in advance how the different athletes will stack up against each other, I do feel Laura should really be able to hold her own. She is technically a very solid rower who can row both port and starboard sides, and she physically is exactly what rowing coaches look for in their athletes."
Next up, the Hoosiers head to Oak Ridge, Tenn., for the Aramark South/Central Region Sprints on May 13-14.
