Lazaridis Earns First Team All-Region Nod

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana senior Laura Lazaridis continues to bring home more accolades. After becoming IU's first All-American last season, the Granger, Ind., native garnered first team All-Central Region honors as announced the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association on May 23.

"This is just another feather in Laura's cap for a job well done," Indiana head coach Steve Peterson said. "She has earned this recognition for all of the hard work she has put in this year. Ours is not an individual sport, but she is a standout in our program and would be on any team."

Next up, Lazaridis will attend the U.S. Under 23 Selection Camp in Berkeley, Calif., from June 5-29. From this group of athletes, the US Under 23 National Team will be selected to race at the Under 23 World Championships this summer in Hazewinkel, Belgium from July 20-23.
