Loukas Honored by Hometown

RIVERWOODS, Ill. - Two-time Big Ten Diver of the Year and of the Championships Christina Loukas recently earned a unique honor from her hometown of Riverwoods, Ill. The city came together to recognize her diving accomplishments with road signs in the town.
"I really didn't think they would do such big signs," Loukas said. "My high school coach (Doug Foerch) really pushed for it. He wanted the town to recognize my accomplishments. It is cool that they wanted to do something like that."
The signs each read: "Home of Christina Loukas, Deerfield High School, 3 Time State Diving Champion and Swimmer/Diver of the Year, at Indiana University, 3 Time All-American, Big Ten Champion, Big Ten Diver of the Year."
