Harriman Named to 2009 Canada Games Hopefuls Project

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana swimming and diving freshman Amy Harriman is one of 36 swimmers from the province of Ontario selected to the 2009 Canada Games Hopefuls Project, Swim Ontario announced Tuesday.
The goal of the project is to being a training and selection process to determine which swimmers will represent Ontario at the 2009 Canada Games. Harriman was selected in the 200 backstroke.
The project includes 1) Performance Analysis, 2) Goal Setting, 3) Race Plans, 4) Training Information, 5) Coaching Workshops, 6) Training Sessions and 7) Training Updates. Swim Ontario will play host to a training day for 2009 CG Hopefuls on Monday, November 26.
The 2009 Canada Games are a national multi-sport and cultural event being held August 15-29, 2009 in the Province of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Since 1967, the Canada Games has evolved to become the pinnacle of national competition for Canadian athletes and includes divisions for persons with disabilities and an arts component called the National Artist Program.
