After arriving in Minneapolis last night, we had a very relaxing day. Since we got to the hotel at around 10 p.m. last night, we got to sleep in until 8:15 this morning, which is quite a bit later than we are used to getting up in the morning. The temperature right now is -4 degrees, so we are all attempting to stay warm in the freezing cold weather. It was amazing that we were able to get in last night, as other teams were not able to get here last night due to the weather and had to fly in this morning. The weather in Indianapolis was not great either, and we are all thankful that are plane made it here safely.
Today we had a practice early in the afternoon, and then one later at night. During the day, most of us did homework so we wouldn't have to deal with it during the meet. The practices were mainly just to loosen up and get ready for tomorrow, and to get used to the pool. The pool here is very nice, and the atmosphere is very conducive to fast swimming. The team is very excited and ready to start the meet, and more importantly everyone is excited to SHAVE! We have not shaved our legs since the end of September, which is kinda gross, but it's what swimmers do. Some of the girls are going all out for this special occasion - the managers bought us all nice razors and shaving cream, and Amilee (Smith) even brought her hair trimmer! Yeah, we are all really excited if you can't tell! Well, it is almost time for bed, so I will have to wrap this up. Goodbye from icy cold Minneapolis!

Today got off to a bit of a rough start, but we finished the night with a lot of momentum going into tomorrow. We are currently in second place, trailing Michigan by only 25 points. (Head coach) Ray (Looze) predicted that we would be in third or fourth, so we were really excited to be in second after our worst day. The turning point of the meet so far would have to be the 400-yard medley relay. After Leila (Vaziri) lead off the relay in a school record, the Hoosiers never looked back. We won the relay out of lane 3, upsetting Wisconsin and setting a school record. Our divers also were amazing, giving us some much needed points and setting the standard for us to follow. Christina (Loukas) was awesome, winning the one-meter for the third time in her career, which is unheard of in such a competitive conference. Brittney (Feldman) and Lindsey (Weigle) were awesome too, placing in the top eight, as well. Well, that is a wrap-up of today's events ... tomorrow is one of our better days event-wise, so we will see what happens.
