QUICK LOOK
Indiana will kick off its 2007 campaign with a race at Clemson against the host Tigers, Marist and Purdue. Last season in this same race, IU's first novice eight took home a win over Clemson, Marist and two Purdue boats.
HOOSIER NOTES
After a week on the water in Clemson, S.C., the Hoosiers will take on Clemson, Marist and Purdue in their 2007 season opener on Saturday, March 17, on Lake Hartwell. The Tigers are receiving votes in the 2007 preseason USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll.
Indiana has been in Clemson since March 10 for its annual Spring Break training trip, and will open up at Clemson for the third straight year.
BACK ON THE WATER
Indiana has not faced any outside competition since the fall, when the Hoosiers competed in the Head of the Hooch and the Head of the Charles and hosted scrimmages against Cincinnati and Louisville. Since then, Indiana has had its annual winter training trip in Tampa, Fla., and just wrapped up its spring training trip in Clemson, S.C.
UP NEXT
IU will host its only home event of the season when Big Ten foe Wisconsin comes to town on Saturday, March 24. Indiana will take on the Badgers on Lake Lemon starting at 8 a.m.
