Barwegen Wraps Stay at USA Swimming Spring Championships

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - Indiana freshman Brittany Barwegen recently completed her stay at the USA Swimming Spring Championships, which took place from March 27-31 at the Nassau County Aquatic Center.
Barwegen competed in three events at the meet, swimming in the 100-meter butterfly, 200-meter butterfly and 200-meter individual medley. The Plano, Texas, native's best showing came on March 28, when she reached the B-Final of the 200m fly. Barwegen took 17th in the heats in a time of 2:17.81 to earn a finals swim. There, she posted a time of 2:20.09 for eighth in the B-Final.
Barwegen touched in 1:04.39 to take 39th place in the heats of the 100m fly on March 30, and turned in a time of 2:30.67 to take 90th in the heats of the 200m IM on March 31.
