Loukas, Cardinell Head to Summer Grand Prix Events

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana junior Christina Loukas and 2005 graduate Cassandra Cardinell have been selected to compete in a trio of summer Grand Prix international events, USA Diving announced recently.
At the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from May 10-13, Loukas will compete on the three-meter and Cardinell will compete on the 10-meter.
At Grand Prix meets in Spain (June 8-10) and Italy (June 15-17), Cardinell will compete in the 10-meter and Loukas in the synchronized three-meter with Purdue's Amanda Miller.
Loukas and Cardinell are coming off impressive showings at the USA Diving Spring National Championships in Boyds, Md., from April 15-22. Loukas and Miller took second in the three-meter synchro, while Loukas was second in the one-meter and fourth in the three-meter. Cardinell placed third on the platform.
