Indiana Announces 2007-08 Swimming and Diving Schedule

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head coach Ray Looze announced the 2007-08 swimming and diving schedule on Thursday, June 21. The Hoosiers slate features three home meets, including the Hoosierland Open.
The Hoosiers open the season with a dual meet at Missouri on Oct. 12, before traveling to Northwestern for a dual meet on Oct. 26.
Indiana opens the home slate with a tri-meet against Texas and Michigan on Nov. 2-3, at the Counsilman-Billingsley Center before hosting the Hoosierland Open on Nov. 15-17.
The Hoosiers will split efforts as the diving team is set to compete in the Ohio State Diving Invitational on Nov. 30-Dec. 2, and the swim team will compete in a dual at Kentucky on Dec. 1. IU's divers will then compete in the World Cup Select Camp in Indianapolis, on Dec. 19-23.
Indiana opens the New Year with the women's team competing in a quad meet against Notre Dame, Michigan and Illinois in South Bend, Ind., on Jan. 11-12, while the men face Michigan for a second time in a dual meet in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Following a dual at the University of Tennessee on Jan. 19, the Hoosiers will divide efforts against rival Purdue as the women face the Boilermakers in a dual on Jan. 26 in West Lafayette, and the men host the Boilers on Feb. 9.
The postseaon opens with the Big Ten Women's Championship on Feb. 21-23, in Columbus, Ohio, while the men's championship will take place in Ann Arbor on Feb. 28-March 1.
The women's Last Chance meet is scheduled for March 1, with the men's Last Chance taking place on March 8, both in Bloomington.
The 2008 NCAA Zone C Diving Championships will also take place on the campus of Ohio State on March 13-16, while the 2008 NCAA Women's Championships are set for March 20-22, also in Columbus. The 2008 NCAA Men's Championships, which will be in Federal Way, Wash., is scheduled for March 27-29.
