Noschang is Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - With the game-winning goal in No. 8 Indiana's 1-0 win over No. 1 UCLA on Sunday, junior forward Kevin Noschang was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Noschang's score came in the 75th minute against the Bruins, sending a shot to the far post for the game winner. It was his second goal in as many games after taking a shot from six yards out to give Indiana a 1-0 lead over No. 9 Maryland on Friday at the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic. That game ended in a 1-1 tie.
In addition to his two goals, Noschang is tied for the team lead in shot attempts with five, four of which have been on-goal. For his efforts over the weekend, Noschang was named to the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic All-Tournament Team.
The Hoosiers (1-0-1) are back in action this weekend at the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament in South Bend, Ind. IU will face Northern Illinois at 5 p.m. on Friday, followed by a match with Rhode Island at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
