BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For the second time this season, Indiana senior diver Christina Loukas is the Big Ten Diver of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. This is the eighth time in her career she has earned the Big Ten honor.
Loukas posted a pair of top-three finishes at the Ohio State Invitational last weekend in Columbus, Ohio. On the three-meter springboard, Loukas took home the title with a score of 363.90 in the finals. She finished third on the one meter with a score of 310.10 in the final, but it was her mark of 375.70 in the prelims that turned heads as she set a new McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion record.
Indiana has completed its competition schedule for 2008 and gets back in the pool Jan. 9-10 when it plays host to Michigan, Illinois and Tennessee in a two-day event at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center.
