Rowers Head to Big Ten Championships In Ann Arbor

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's rowing team will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., this Saturday to take part in the Big Ten Champinships at the Michigan Boathouse on Belleville Lake. The first Indiana boat to race will be the Varsity Four at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
In addition to the Varsity Four boat, the Hoosiers will be represented by the Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight. The Varsity Eight's first race of the Championships will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, in the same heat as no. 1 seed Michigan State and no. 2 seed Michigan.
The Second Varsity Eight will race at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, going in as the no. 6 seed against top-seeded Ohio State, no. 2 seed Michigan State and seventh-seed Iowa. The Second Varsity Eight was named Co-Boat of the Week by the conference office on April 1, the first such award for the Hoosiers since March 21, 2005.
