BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For the first time, Indiana Volleyball fans will be able to listen to the Hoosiers online, as IU will offer free Internet-only audio broadcasts for all 38 matches during the 2008 season. Fans can listen to the Cream and Crimson live through IUHoosiers.com.
Coach Sherry Dunbar is excited about what the broadcasts will do to help promote the program.
"We're thrilled to bring play-by-play excitement to people's homes when they can't make it to the matches," Dunbar said. "But the best part is that we're broadening our fan base. We hope that people who hear the matches on the radio will be motivated to experience IU Volleyball in person."
Long-time women's basketball play-by-play voice Jeremy Gray and Matt Taylor will handle the broadcast duties for the season. Broadcasts will start approximately 10 minutes prior to match time.
Stretch Internet, based in Mesa, Arizona will provide the streaming service that can be accessed via the volleyball schedule page.
